Saying Goodbye to the Hot Flashes

2 min read

Menopause - where your period goes on “pause” but is replaced by one thousand other new symptoms.

Not actually, but the surge of temperature issues, emotional instability, and newfound insomnia is no joke.

As menopause approaches, we see two significant hormonal changes. Estrogen plummets quite quickly, but it also changes into a weaker form. Both of these changes are not necessarily a smooth decline, but rather a roller coaster of ups and downs. If you have started peri-menopause, you know what I mean!

Luckily for you, there may be some relief in sight.

Dr. Mallory works with her patients to take a deep dive into their hormones and determine the best course of action for their health. This may include:

  • Herbal supplementation to dampen the highs and lows of hormone fluctuations

  • Dietary and lifestyle changes to assist in weight management during menopause

  • Acupuncture to reduce anxiety, insomnia, and stress

  • Laboratory testing to differentiate which symptoms may be due to other concerns (ex. underperforming thyroid, cortisol imbalance.)

  • Prevention of certain post-menopausal conditions like osteoporosis and cardiovascular disease

Whether you are approaching peri-menopause, are right in the thick of it, or have waved goodbye to the hot flashes, Dr.Mallory is happy to meet with you to discuss all things hormonal health.
